Python's strength isn't raw performance — it's the depth of its ecosystem. For data engineering, machine learning integration, scientific computing, or rapid backend prototyping, Python's libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, FastAPI) are often years ahead of equivalent tooling in other languages. If your product involves data pipelines, AI features, or automation-heavy backend logic, Python frequently gets you to a working solution faster and with less custom code than alternatives.

Our approach
For API development we typically use FastAPI for its async performance and automatic OpenAPI documentation, or Django when a project needs a full-featured admin panel and ORM out of the box. For data and ML workloads we structure pipelines using established patterns (Airflow or Prefect for orchestration, pandas/Polars for transformation) rather than ad-hoc scripts that become unmaintainable. We write type-hinted Python with mypy validation to bring some of the same safety benefits TypeScript provides on the frontend.
When Python is the right choice
Python shines when your backend logic is data- or ML-heavy, or when you need to move fast on a backend service without sacrificing readability. For very high-throughput, low-latency services, Node.js or .NET sometimes outperform Python — we'll recommend the right tool based on your actual load and latency requirements rather than defaulting to one language for everything.
